My work is a record of the rhythm of my days and the world around me. In my work, I observe an ever-changing landscape while exploring colour, line and texture. A theme of transience runs through my work, recording what will never be seen again, life as an ever-evolving experience, the passage of rebirth and renewal, the fleeting moment, the sence of place and mood.
Born in Australia 1951, I settled in Canberra in 2002, falling in love with its natural beauty. I have developed my art practice through continuing education courses in the UK in 1999 -2001, ANU School of Art, Artist Society of Canberra (ASOC) summer schools and local tutored workshops. I work across diverse mediums including pastel, watercolour, acrylic, ink and graphite. In recent years, I have been the recipient of several prizes including ASOC Spring exhibition 2018 1st prize and 2nd prize.
